Legal Name Changes
We can handle the process for obtaining a court order changing your legal name. This includes filing the initial court papers, arranging for newspaper publication (or advising on when you can avoid publication), and accompanying you on court appearances if necessary.

Identification Documents
Once your name change has been granted, we can advise you on how to update other identification documents, including your name and gender marker. This can include social security card, driver's license, and passport. We can also discuss birth certificate amendments.
We offer pro bono or sliding scale legal name change services to low-income transgender,
gender non-conforming, and non-binary people in Hampshire and Franklin counties, Massachusetts.
